Last week Miakoda and I decorated a room in the Smithville Mansion. This is a Greek revival mansion that sits in the middle of a 280 acre park. They have public tours from May through October and it is open for three weeks during December for Victorian Christmas tours. Local groups decorate the rooms.
The Friends of the Mansion at Smithville is a non profit organization dedicated to restoring the mansion to the era of 1865 - 1887.
The room Miakoda and I decorated is called the Children's Room, and is decorated with toys and games from the era.
I found this little nasturtium blooming in my window box a couple of days ago!
It didn't bloom all summer, until I put up the Christmas garland, I think it is beautiful.

Those teddies really do perk up that room. So sweet and child-like.
You are so talented, you always cut yourself short, but you did a wonderful job on the room. I cant wait to see it.
