VALENTINE'S DAY

I want to wish everyone who reads this blog a very Happy Valentine's Day and I hope every day has a little love in it. We started our day with a Valentine breakfast. I made heart shaped biscuits and Miakoda made vegetarian SOS. We had strawberries and sliced red peppers with pink lemonade. Sounds a little strange, but was actually quite good.
Buttermilk biscuits!
Fresh sliced strawberries, YUM!
Sliced red bell peppers, aren't they beautiful and red for Valentine's Day!
Everything except the pink lemonade.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

A Little Music and Food

The best way to make a day special is with a little music,
and some good food.
First the crepes, then the fruit,
fill them with cream cheese, then roll them up and top with strawberry syrup,
fresh bananas and strawberries. Then dig in,YUM!

My Winter Seed Pods

My wisteria tree is like something out of a dream in the winter.
These are the pods and in the spring they dry up and explode, spreading hard brown seeds everywhere. I hear them hitting the side of the house as they pop and it rains seeds. I pick the seeds up from all over the yard. I have been trying to figure out a use for them as they are quite pretty.

This is a dried seed pod from my Yucca plant. There are small black seeds nestled in the bottom on the pod.

St. Mary's Church and Graveyard

I suppose it seems a little strange to begin the New Year with photographs of a church and graveyard, but I think they are lovely.
These pictures were taken at St. Mary's in Burlington City.

A Visit to the Burlington Riverfront

This is a picture of the New Jersey riverfront in Burlington. You can see the Burlington-Bristol Bridge in the background. I've taken dozens of pictures of this bridge over the years. It spans the Delaware River and connects New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Our shadows, caught in the afternoon sun.
